  1. Everything is riding on this socalled 'counteroffensive'. If it fails to secure any notable gains or fails to materialize at all, it will be much harder for Ukraine's supporters in the west to continue the present levels of support. And the hands of the naysayers--isolationists and Putin fanboys and girls--will be strengthened.

  5.  @aickavon  The Russians have done a lot to fortify their lines, if the Ukrainians (with the help of some western ISR) don't pick the right place to launch their main effort(s), there could be hell to pay.
