  1.  @temwananinkana3419  The main reason a rotary, multi-barrel cannon is preferred on modern jet fighters is primarily rate of fire. At the increased speeds of modern dogfights, a pilot may have only a second or less to engage their opponent with guns. The more rounds out, the better the chance of a hit(s).

  3. WHAT? The AC-130 is a totally different type of attack aircraft. Which is completely incapable of replacing the A-10.

  4. Well thats why they proposed the arsenal ship...oops never realized. Then they had the SC-21 and later DD-X...oops discontinued programs. Finally there is the mighty Zumwalt class...oops too expensive. So 32 ships cut back to 3 ships. Fewer missiles than the Arleigh Burke class, but oh man those powerful twin 6-inch guns. I mean who needs x9 16-inch guns and x12 5-inch guns and x48 missiles, when you got those two glorified 155mm howitzers? The Marines of course.
