That's a crock, fake Rabbi. I think we all know perfectly well. Jesus of Nazareth was a fairly typical young Jewish agitator, the Abbie Hoffman of his time and place. Nothing the matter with that, but no big deal.

Elizabeth, Thanks, but I don't think we'd all fit. Maybe back off a bit, and we'll come over for coffee? Lemme see now, fifteen million or so of us, four at a time, fifteen minutes per group, 12 hours a day, six days a week? Just a little over 1500 years, knocking off Christmas and Easter, and being a wee bit flaky about leap years. Assuming you don't extend the rash invitation to our kids, that is... But it's a nice thought, so good on ya!

Part of the problem with these antisemite weirdies is that what they say rests of a foundation of hooey very generally accepted as publicly respectable across the normal open expanses of our society. If he said that Santa Claus's reindeer had told him all his hate messages, he'd be on his way to a nice safe bed in a mental hospital. Instead, his starting point is that there's a "god" up in the sky, and this god wrote a book, and this book says thus and so, and killing whole races and peoples is the normal business of this god's book, so everything he's saying is perfectly normal... And everything up to that point is publicly repeated and praised, and there's a whole political party, currently occupying the White House, who think that this stupidity should be taught in the schools.

It doesn't get much stupider than "Universalism is top-down, particularism is bottom up." This guy does a good imitation of an idjit. Universalism is the sum of all particularisms. Duh. There is no contradiction there. Any particularism is of necessity limited in scope -- but often has advantages like clarity, precision, leverage, and so on. Still no contradiction. Double-duh!
