@rayauxey You'd have to give a few more details for that to add up. It doesn't look at all true to me. AI has to be a form of computation which has a self and is aware of it. What we're looking at now is a lot of very powerful computation, fancy graphics, and skilled programming. Impressive. Fun. Profitable. But we're the ones who are intelligent. It all isn't. There is not an ounce of intelligence in the whole thing. To call computation "intelligence" is as stupid now as it was in the 1940's when people were sometimes that sort of goo-goo about the whole thing, or in the 1870's when at least they knew it was fiction, and people had the vitz to know that the fiction was either metaphor or joking.
