@Tommaso251287 You're not making sense, Tom. You have identified at least two actions which very precisely were the British electorate's fault, voting the Conservatives into power and allowing Farage out of the nut house.

@albal156 "Nobody wanted"?? Obviously quite a lot of people wanted it. Cameron's treason was not seeing that as a problem to be solved -- added to the fundamental subversion of governing by mob referendum at the expense of Parliamentary democracy, the treasure of a thousand years' struggle and thought. Britain's decline had to have taken place for a fool like Cameron to have been allowed anywhere near power.

One way of looking at it might be that the moment of Brexit was the instant of hara-kiri. Then again, there must have been some horrific decline beforehand to put in charge a bunch of fools who, faling to seize the opportunities of Europe, could conceive of the notion that Brexit could be anything but insanity.
