  1. Donnie Fats has several small problems: he's not very smart and he doesn't read very much. And he's as ignorant as a large rock. His ignorance shows up when it comes to tariffs: he simply doesn't understand that they're a tax on American consumers, sometimes just by adding costs, if not that then by reducing competition which also increases their costs.
