  1. It's a good thing you kept quiet about this until now. If you'd let the word out in say 1970, MacNamara would have ordered development of the F-111-G-2(b), able to fly backwards. Note that this video takes an "a certain view" type view of the F-111. The use of the word "encouraged" in the sentence "The Air Force was encouraged to..." is a term of art, covering demolished careers and a good deal of blood in the water.
