Meself, I'd think that maybe 80% of his hard facts are in fact true. His current set of opinions pretty much match mine, as I'd guess they match yours -- but remember, proclaiming those opinions is Cohen's most effective self-serving path right now; holding them doesn't have much to do with anything other than poor Michael's public relations purposes, for self-preservation. Long short: the world will be a better place if Weisselberg and son flip and come across with thirty-five years of solid documentary evidence to back themselves up

I don't think big-time Mafiosi are ever prime movers. The Russian ones now, like the Sicilian and Neapolitan ones back then, are impressive personalities, but they emerge as leaders of derivative movements through personal character, it seems to me. They don't start stuff up. Getting rid of one doesn't shut anything down. There will be both new leaders in their places and other mafias, gangs, criminal groupings, down through the centuries.
