  3. Small reminder: the United States does not have Federal Presidential elections. Voters elect members of the Electoral College in state elections -- even if they are Constitutionallly mandated state elections.. There may very well be post Civil War, 14th Amendment-based, Federal laws on Presidential elections -- but the relevant elections are all at the states' level.

  4. Re Trump's newest lawyer giving up his partnership: something I found a few years ago, auditing stuff downtown (Toronto): Taking a seat on the Canadian Supreme Court costs a lawyer minimum a 90% pay cut! I forget the numbers exactly, but it's millions down to low hundreds of thousands.
