  1. Simon Rosenberg does not seem to understand how elections work. People are not elected or defeated because of what Simon Rosenberg said they did. People are elected or defeated on the basis of the votes they get, and this depends on how voters feel. By now, everybody who reads The Bulwark knows bout Donald Trump in some detail and disapproves of it. It's so old that one realy has to wonder why The Bulwark is publishing this tired old stuff. Everybody else out there -- including Trump's supporters -- also kows it. The obvious question, which rosenberg is curiously avoiding, is why do so many people support this behaviour?
