  1. Western cosmology is transparently nonsense, a bunch of tales filled with modern math and physics cobbled together to retell the Western Bible's tale of "In the beginning." It's highly implausible that there should be any beginning. The idea simply pushes the "Where did X come from, Mummy?" story back far enough that people feel entitled to say "Uh, no, I don't know where the Big Bang came from. It's all a mystery." It isn't all a mystery. It's a stupid question.
