There is no reason to accept Prof. Kipping's absurd supposition that belief that aliens are watching us would upset our general world view: there are already probably majority views that we are being watched by a god and a devil, and hordes of people think there are elves and who knows what-all else out there too. Kipping's aliens are Johnny-come-lately in the crowd.
