Dipak, Nothing in what you write proves economists wrong. Yes, China has out-competed a whole lot of people and places. Shackling the winner of a race doesn't make the losers any faster, it just reduces the amount of ground that everybody has covered, OK? What the economists are saying is that shackling winners doesn't help losers. This is correct, it is right, it is obvious. What is the solution? The solution is to spread the benefits around. In America, for instance, you have to stop moaning about "unemployment" and look at the benefit of freed up resources. America now has people avaialable to do necessary work. The answer to increased productivity through globalization? Increased benefits of better infrastructure. Implement that maintenance and building program Trump ran on. Unless it's gone the same place as that Trump-Ryan-McConnell "replacement" for Obamacare. Back up their asses, where they pulled it from in the first place.
