What we are seeing here is Trump's childish, ignorant, and stupid view of negotiation -- the view that has dissipated his father's fortune, bankrupted all his major companies, and reduced him to living by lying, apparently on the charity of Russian gangsters. The idjit simply doesn't realise Rule One, that you negotiate for the benefit of both sides.

  3. "Selling the US worker down the drain" would be Trump's idea of putting everybody to work at artificial make-work created by his micromanagement of the economy. America's major problem at the moment is that the benefits of two generations' progress toward free trade have all been taken by the 0.1%. This is a problem internal to the American economy, that of distributing the wealth made by the society as a whole, having it taken by a few gate-keepers, monopolists, grifters and operators.
