  1. RE， The Dow peaked at 26,700 on January 31, 2018, Janet Yellen's last regular day on the job. That marked the end of the Obama-Yellen recovery from the last Republican apprenticeship in economics. It has gone pretty much sideways since then. The tariffs? Those are paid by the American consumer. China is busy, thank you very much, opening up new markets all across the New Silk Road, what they call the Belt and Road Project.
