Raney, I'm here because it's a relevant topic, and because I didn't expect the Wall Street Journal to have declined into utter incompetence so quickly after Murdoch's take-over. I'll even give you the benefit of the doubt. Aren't you here for roughly the same reason? But given this assumption, I'm left wondering what you're whining about.

Kevin, There were no such polls. Most of the poll had Hillary pulling it out, dependent upon the supposed "blue wall" of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump carried these states very narrowly, and lost the popular vote very badly. Hillary won the election by about 2.7 million votes, roughly as most polls predicted. The GOP were able to gain the White House only through the Electoral College, an institution designed (like the Second Amendment) to keep slave-holders happy.

Um, the Wall Street Journal always wished FDR didn't exist. now they've made him vanish. "Fake news" anybody? FWIW, the Democrats took a pasting in FDR's second-term mid-terms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_1938 72 seats down.
