  1. Look at those highways: 2&1/2 lanes of cars randomly occupying 4++ lanes of space! There are huge gains to be made just by painting white lines and maybe enforcing them with lights and bollards here and there. When they get computer-driven cars that can move in platoons a couple of feet away from each other, their efficiency increases will be huge.
