  1. This half-wit (with apologies to the good and useful number 0.5) doesn't understand the meaning of the interrogative word "why?" Cats land on their feet because that is the least harmful or the least painful way of landing. This video says nothing about the question -- but gives an excellent explanation of how cats manage to land on their feet.
