  1. The Madagascar storm around 6:00 is interesting. We had one like it in Toronto, something I've only experienced that one time: from north to south the storm was less than two kilometres long: I could see both ends of it from my porch. But intense! It rained several inches in less than two minutes, ruining the wallpaper of a flight of stairs leading up to an open roof door. Unique in my experience, it was more like being under a tap than in rain. Stronger than the shower in my bathroom. And then it was gone. Sunlight again.
