  1. We sure hope that the increasing desertification everywhere can be stopped and reversed. I wish the Chinese wll intheir efforts with the Gobi. This video, however, is just really dopey propaganda. None of those little sprouts means a damn thing until they've been there a decade and survived in quantity, and it's really stupid to pretend otherwise. So far -- and I think it would be wonderful if I were wrong -- every attempt at starting China's "Green Wall" looks like a failure.
