  1. This is a rerun of a jape -- the program was called "Turing" -- that somebody pulled back in the 1960's. The terminal simply typed back a random sentence tied to a noun in the last sentence the sucker had typed in. Some people claimed, quite falsely, that the program had passed the Turin Test for creation of an artificial intelligence. Others claimed that they had an effective therapist. I think this claim was false, too, but your mileage may vary.
