  2. There will be a variety of metaverses, there's no doubt about that. It, uh, won't be handed down from on high by Mark BigMan Corporation, though. It will develop from a hundred different shoots -- among which those expensive goggles will be one of the locuses -- and if Facebook are lucky they'll play some part in it all. Maybe.
