@gigi6374 "The U.S. stats site" is not a source. For police killing, a good place to start might be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_killings_by_law_enforcement_officers_in_the_United_States. They tend to kill between 1,200 and 1,500 people a year in the US, so that would get you six or seven thousand in the past five years. Any other reputable site will get you numbers in the same ranges.

@gigi6374 Everything is written by people. Wikipedia sometimes contains errors, but has a remarkably thorough and intelligent system of self-criticism. That's why I used ranges of numbers which I know to cover the case and why I encouraged people to look at other sources too. Google and Bing are your friends. Anything you choose to follow will confirm the accuracy of my post and the rank dishonesty of yours.

As you can tell from the fact that I have corrected you with authoritative numbers, I know very well how to find out genuine statistics. I also know how to expose fakers and liars like yourself. @gigi6374 You're imagining things. I suggest to you that you use Google Search to find the sources you have not bothered to use if you ever get interested in real live facts. (and I suggested Bing as an alternative: I'm not trying to guide you into any single commie choice of mine...) Roland Fryer is obviously a very bright young man, and his research on police violence confirms what everybody has been saying for years, that the data is muddy and unreliable as all get out. Nothing of his that I have seen comes remotely close to supporting the absurd lies you have published here.

Your commentary on the arson and rioting demonstrates that you have swallowed a great deal of rightwing propaganda: a percentage of the looting and burning is being done by militiamen, the Boogaloo Boys, and other non-locals. (This is greatly helped by the fact that so many people are wearing masks.) None, zero, nil, is being done by people concerned about the civil rights issues involved -- for exactly the reasons you sorta try to use as weapons on me, i.e. that the looting is bad for human rights or progressive causes. You have no example of a simple truth that I won't acknowledge. And you still haven't apologized for your original lie: your "More unarmed black people have been killed in the last month by RIOTERS then by police in the last 5 years COMBINED" is a simple and stupid falsehood.

@Stacey Ellis As of the 14th, USA Today rated the opposite of your claim false for this year alone -- by a nose, maybe two noses. They didn't go near your much crazier five years claim. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/06/18/fact-check-more-black-people-killed-police-than-floyd-protests/5323116002/ There have been shootings and police murders and other killings in the ten days since. In a "normal" year police killings of blacks tend to run around three or four a day, so I'd say your claim remains muddy. It's a pleasure to see you quoting my friend and co-worker, the late Pat Moynihan. I wonder, since you parade your academic pretensions daily, if you could be a tad more precise about your sources. "His paper" does not mean very much when you are claiming succour from the work of whole squads of distinguished academics with copious published records. I wish you safety, too. Also health.

James, What do you believe to be the relevant units to compare in considering these inequalities? Individuals? Families? Social classes? Races and if so by what definition? Tribes, and if so by what definition? Other, your choice, but please explain? And which direction do you believe each of those countries is going in over what scale of time-span? I really don't know whether this is a yes or a no, but I'm interested in the question first and if you can make your intentions around that clear then I'd like to hear your opinion of the answer. And a humorous question: do you find yourself considering questions of this sort in ways shaded by the name "Whiteley"? @jameswhiteley6843 I don't know. If you're really interested in the answer(s) to those questions, and it's not at all clear that you are, I'd suggest you make them a little bit more specific. Which disease? Which intelligence? Which groups? And so on. The go looking for relevant facts. For learning, the best facts to look for are the ones that don't fit with your preconceptions, the ones that surprise you. Good luck.

Dinosaurs are still dinosaurs -- just like they were before that big meteor hit in the sea off Yucatan. How could anyone believe different? @tpower1912 You're not totally out of contact with reality. There were mega-fauna in the north until very recently, so don't exaggerate the consideration you give to the few left in Africa. On the evolutionary value of intellectual thought, you are assuming ver-ree fast evolution among different human families and, I think, attaching too much importance to it as a factor in continued breeding ability, Darwinian "fitness." We have only been Our Of Africa for about 100,000 years now. Skin and hair colour can certainly change in that time, and lactose tolerance seems to have evolved, in the few places where it has, in only about 40,000 years flat. Frontal cortex size has reduced greatly since the mid-stone age, which is barely longer. Intelect on the other hand? I don't see much difference between the walls of the cave of Lascaux and the MOMA, the jewellery of Northern France 60,000 (sixty!) years ago and the stuff at art fairs today, nor between the fighting arts of bands of apes and the work of Herman Kahn. Your general rule for looking at African cultural and intellectual achievements today, it seems to me, is that we don't know very much about it. The astonishing overlap between ability in abstract mathematics and that in music has been noted but not explored. We do, however, have some blunt findings: most of the race's genetic diversity is still in Africa: most of us around the planet are descended from a very few. The tallest and the shortest are in Africa. So are the fastest. It's safe to say that the stupidest are at the lower bound, probably in the hills of Alabama, because the lowest IQ below which anyone can survive is roughly the same everywhere -- but lower where there is social Security. To the extent that general intelligence is physiological, which is somewhat, I'd think you'd go looking at the highest where the extremes are all found. Cheers, -dlj.

@tpower1912 I don't know what your term "absolutely genetically isolated" means. About the rest of your babble I can only say yes, that's sometimes true and sometimes not. If you draw the lines you can certainly establish groups that comply with any particular criterion you have used in drawing your line. So?
