  1. In 1965 I interviewed a guy, on behalf of the CBC's This Hour Has Seven Days, who had capped, he said, 17,000 old gas well in the Niagara Peninsula. His reas, he said, was that he expected the empty space to be useful for some unspecified, perhaps unknown, reason in the future. Anybody heard anything in the 55 years since?
