  1. There's a technical term for this sort of promotion: it's called a balloon note. That rate only lasts three months. Then it jumps seven-fold or so. Oops. I checked. Seventeen-fold. Your two bucks a month becomes $34.99. And your bank will probably round it off to thirty-five bucks.
