  1. "Recklessly pollute"? China is in fact moving aggressively to clean up its pollution -- while it is still a developing state. The West is responsible for most of the pollution out there simply because the West -- Europe first, then the Americas -- has been throwing crap into the atmosphere for 250 years. Yet we only started to clean up after we got rich and it was easy to afford. Could we have just a wee tad of balance and context here, puh-leeze? -dlj.
