  1. The current "AI boom" is almost entirely bogus. What we are seeing is simply the continued advance of computer speed and memory size, the factors celebrated in Moore's eponymous, but rough and ready, "Law." There is no more intelligence in computing today than there was when System 360 came along in the early 1960s. Merest horse feathers!
