In the ad after 1:00, you mean "uninterested," not "disinterested." Uninterested means bored or distracted, which is the meaning you want. Disinterested means free from bias, a completely different thought and nothing to do with your little ad.

I'm watching the stock and thinking of gambling a few hundred bucks on it. But not yet: it's still six gets you five either way on whether they go bankrupt, even with the recent injection of outside cash. The claim made by some stupid or dishonest stock promoters, that the 4th quarter 2024 results are hugely profitable and indicate success is straight ahead, is totally bogus. The wonderfully cosmetic "profit" for 2024-4Q is an illusion, achieved not by selling cars but by taking the whole year's sales of non-pollution offsets into a single quarter. This is typically money paid to them by "legacy" car companies like GM and Ford, to allow them to sell gas guzzlers on Rivian's non-pollution rights in California. Long short: they make possibly good cars at huge losses, but they have a very profitable side business, collecting tax-payers' welfare money routed through other companies, to actually pay the utility bills and payroll.

@ayomide7931 Yeah, maybe. But apparently the Germans make a better Rolls Royce than the Brits ever could.:face-orange-frowning:

@MrDanielmahaniel Wow! Thanks! I feel a wee bit guilty playing teecher -- but our language is a treasure we should try to respect and preserve.
