It makes Jon sound like a kid who's been spending too much time with a dictionary -- whereas we know he is in fact generally well-informed. Draco was noted for using the death penalty for even minor offenses against his new written code. What China has is a few local authorities behaving stupidly -- just like in every other country in the world. That's not Draco's mad flailing, it's Murphy's Law.

You have one thing right in this video: Covid is a pain and a hassle for Chinese governments at all levels-- just like everywhere else. Then you go into this absurd and repeated rant about how it's going to bring down the government. Phooey: there are lots of unhappy people in China and the government is shilly-shallying about how "draconian" (My, my, it sounds like you just learned a new word this week and you wanna just keep driving it around the block, like you got your driving licence when you turned sixteen！）they should be. This is no different from anywhere else. Covid brought down the absurd Trump and it's giving Biden a lot of grief. So, it's throwing shade on Xi, too. That's natural. You don't have to sound like an Epoch Times editorial about it.
