@AgeOfAquariusRising That is not a good idea. I've spent a couple of years of my life doing bank audit -- the scut work assigned to every Canadian accounting junior for their shakedown year -- and a Canadian bank will go belly up pretty much on the bedbug cycle, one every sixteen years, plus or minus eighteen months. American banks are even shoddier, true enough, but the FDIC is trustworthy up to, generally, $250,000 per depositor.

@AnimaChronix3 Trump is simply making it up out of thin air: Every serious American bank has both a full array of functioning professional relationships, and anywhere from one to dozens of Schedule B Banks as subsidiaries, to do whatever they need doing in Canadian markets.
