Manafort and Gates were and probably are involved in that. Trump may be. This is quite literally the attempt not to subvert a country for Communism, the old Russian game, but to steal a country for rich Russians, the new oligarchs' game. Mueller has issued about 100 indictments, and achieved about two dozen convictions so far. These will continue. Mueller is probably not Manafort's biggest worry. The Russians are good at poison, shooting, bombing, and other nasty stuff. They are the people Manafort may need protection from. He may be happy to be in a nice safe US jail. The big fish are still out there -- and hunting some of them down may take a decade. "End game"? Nope, only for a few of the riff-raff.
