  2. It is a lie that "the only byproduct of the combustion of hydrogen is water." That would be true if you ever burned hydrogen in a pure oxygen atmosphere, but burning it in air, i.e. in all practical uses, you are burning it in the presence of more than 4/5ths nitrogen, and a smidgen of other stuff, so you're getting all sorts of nasty, poisonous nitrates and nitrides in the exhaust. This is not a nice lie to be telling because many of those nitrogen-related by-products are ver-ree nasty: carcinogenic, or just plain poisonous. Naughty, naughty, hydrogen promoters.
