  4. At 2:37, "It displaced 24,000 tons when submerged." Nope. Those engineers don't seem to have heard of Archimedes, either. It displaced it's own weight in water when it was afloat. If it weighed 24,000 tons, that's how much water it displaced while afloat. Archimedes Principle. When it added water to its weight in steel, people, and what-not, it weighed even more than it displaced. So it sank. That's how you submerge a submarine: you make it weight ore than it displaces.
