  1.  @samsungsmartfridge3173  Not bad, but there's more to Ford than that. He was a successful and daring racer, and an innovato more than an inventor in bringing mass production to the world. I have never heard it claimed that he was a great inventor or engineer, but he certainly hired a number of both. His innovation only went as far as the model T: he nearly killed the company by resisting the Model A until Durant's General Motors forced him to. Durant's redesign of GM into an integrated and rational full-market company was an innovation as important as Ford's development of the assembly line. Ford's gnorant stupid antisemitism was rather common at the time; sadly, he had enough money to spread it around. His children did vigorous and effective work to make amends for it, but only after WWII.
