@mickymicky7458 Merkel is a Christian Democrat. That's Germany's conservative party, you half-wit. My apologies to the good and useful number 0.5.

@writerconsidered The policy of the Democratic Party is capitalism armed to the teeth. There is no policy of governance to the right of that. Biden took in $314 million in the period reporting in August -- half of it in small donations from individuals. It's not perfect, but it's something for you to consider, don't you think?

@writerconsidered No huge disagreements: you're just being a wee bit absolutist about what are certainly strong tendencies. I think the long term is the GOP has to just dry up and blow away, and a party of the left has to come into being. The way you'll know a left is somewhere on the horizon is, you'll hear two questions: "Why would we need a fourth carrier force? What for?" and "What on Earth does insurance have to do with health care? You only insure against uncertainty, and everybody certainly needs health care." In the short term, however, there are important differences between Democrats and Trumpoids. The Democrats at least are American. Running the Trumpoids out on a rail is Job One.

On tests of psychological and intellectual potential like the SAT and the GMAT, the Reichskanzlerin's advice here -- look at things from other people's points of view -- is worth about 50 points at the tough, high-end, questions. On the GMAT that's enough to get you from 700, around 90th percentile, to 750, between 99.97th and 99.99th. That doesn't just get you admitted to Wharton. It gets you nice letters from Caltech offering you money to come to California. If you're a young person thinking about your professional and educational career you've got a choice. You can go with Merkel with an honest doctorate in quantum physical chemistry. Or you can do it the Trump way and hire somebody to take his SAT, sat through business school, put his businesses into bankruptcy a few times. Merkel's way wins.
