  1. Anipix, My impression is the flat Earthers are making a rather similar point, that a whole lot of claimed knowledge is really hooey. If you think they think the Earth is flat, maybe you're looking in the wrong place to find gullibility.

But to be honest, I think you have to concede that Donald Trump is the most conspicuous and most dangerous example of strutting, boasting, prideful, and unaware ignorance around us today. There's nothing "libtard" about that. It's just a simple observation. It is quite specifically an example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect, so very relevant here.

  3. SPK1121, Quite. Two accurate and excellent points. Dunning-Kruger is just a faculty club joke that got out into the wild, a sour example of soi disant elites laughing at the humble. We are all, at some level and constantly, unaware of what we are unaware of. It's just Rumsfeld's Fortune Cookie reworded as a superior sneer.
