  1. Physics has gone nowhere since the Feynman Lectures because the entire field has been taken over by infantile foolishness, string theory. It's just silly: "We've got all these pesky zeroes. Well, let's turn them into little itsy-bities. And since we've been studying simple harmonic motion for three thousand years, we'll make them all vibrate. Problem solved." Problem solved indeed: a virgin field for study, no lack of depth -- hell, simple harmonic motion alone is good for another three thousand years, and easy to write grant-applications for. Result: disaster.
