  1. Wonderful to have him quoting Raven McDavid! I worked in the same building as him, the Fred French Building on Fifth Avenue, back in 1968~69, when he was a consultant on the America heritage dictionary. As MDavid suggests, I got along very well in Manhatta. My accent is mid-Atlantic. Not middle Atlantic States. half way between North Wales and the east Coast of North America. :-) -dlj.
