As far as banking goes, the world has been evolving toward multi-polarity for generations now. The US is no longer the only game in town -- and under Trump's management it is very much less serious than it used to be.

It's far from dead, but it's no longer the only game in town. Fewer and fewer countries use it as their only reserve currency; it's almost always just one of the basket. This tendency will continue, perhaps accelerated by this clown in Washington.

@webmaster1537 I don't think he's a tyrant, though he'd probably like to be. Much more of just a random fool -- the problem being that America is just so big a thing that even its accidental and random movements can cause a lot of damage.

Where is Trump going to find the trillions -- per year, every year -- to bring his old 50 states up to Canadian standards of social services? The idea is ridiculous. The fat guy with the red tie is a failed troll -- once again.

I don't think buying Yuan bonds right now is any "massive vote of confidence." It's a fine example of tripping over stuff you wouldn't normally touch, but it's reached a price so low it can't help being profitable in the long run.
