Solving "all our energy problems" is not as simple as Manley claims, because he's misidentifying the problem. Generating all the power we can use is not hrd: coal, oil, and natural gas are cheap. Our many problems with energy are all of the opposite kind, getting rid of it, modifying it, keeping it under control, lessening the amounts of it in the wrong places. All of these are difficult and expensive.

@navyseal1689 I don't know whether it's easy or not, Flippy, but his criticism seems to me sound. Even if thie claims made for this very expensive experiment are honest, quite likely, and correct, a wee bit less so, it still leaves us a very long way away from usable electricity-generation technology through fusion. Still, you didn't have any difficulty compaining, did you?
