But I get what you're saying, however based on the civilization stage theory, where species may kill themselves off before even colonization of other planets can occur and other great strides. It wouldnt surprise me if finding a type 2 civilization would be impossible. They could have died off 10 to now, and we would never get the chance to even see them in action, we could detect their communications tomorrow or in another 10 billion years, space is so vast. If there was something in our galaxy that had complete control ,it begs the question , why is there no galactic federation, we can hear the big bang but we cant hear any intelligence, well none we know of .
