I’ve read that the high intensity training that you describe strengthen the muscle of the heart and induce hypertrophy allowing for a strong heart pump, but the slower steady cardio at a moderate heart rate stretched the left ventricle more to allow more blood per pump and therefore the best way to get conditioned is to train BOTH longer steady cardio and the hit intervals. What are your thoughts on this?
