Great video. One component of protecting yourself not mentioned here however is: Only talk to your lawyer and NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE. Police are not your friends, nor are they on your side.

Key comments in video: “There are a lot of people that don’t have the ability to be in a healthy relationship.” There are many of those people out there. A wise and trusted mentor once told me he had never seen a single, reasonably attractive woman over age 30 who had never been married (unless they had been in some sort of extended education such as Med school or law school) that didn’t have significant mental illness or personality disorder. The more people I have interacted with, the more and more I find this to be true.

Key is to detect the signs early and GET AWAY! If you fall in love with them, it will be much more difficult to leave.

It seems difficult to distinguish a covert narc from someone with borderline personality disorder. I guess it doesn’t really matter though if it leads to the same results… an unstable and unhappy relationship.

Once you know the red flags and develop personal experience with narcissists, you will be able to recognize them sooner and be able to quickly get them out of your life. This applies to relationships that you can control. It can be tougher in a work setting if they are your boss or on your team with no way to fully avoid them.

Love your insightful videos Jonathan. If you haven’t done one already, you should make a video providing practical steps for men who want to have kids but not get married.

Love your videos Jonathan. Please keep making them. I think eventually you will have millions of subscribers once more people learn about you.

Learned from a guy today about something called “committed intimate relationship laws” where in some states, living unmarried with someone for as little as 2 years entitles them to half of the other person’s assets just as if they were married. Unbelievable this can be legal!

Great content. Would love to see you do a series on BPD also. Your audience would also probably appreciate hearing short examples of cases you delt with where your clients were able to successfully get out of these toxic relationships without losing everything they have.

If you’re seeing questionable behaviors, delay the wedding; maybe permanently if the concerning behaviors continue.

Just a quick question… have these people mentioned been formally diagnosed with NPD? How do we know some of them aren’t BPD, sociopaths, or even all of the above!?

At least those examples show maybe inappropriate, but overall good intentions. How about the ones with really bad intentions?
