  1. When I was growing up, we had an RCA black and white TV from 1955 to 1970. Dad had been a Navy Electronics Technician in World War 2, working primarily on radar sets built by RCA. He had been impressed by their quality and, frankly there wasn't much difference between a 1944 radar and a 1955 TV, so which brand to buy was simple
