Problem is Tamil Nadu wants only Cauvery water and reject to explore other water possibilities; For eg , Discuss with Israel for drip Irrigation ; There are many Agri Institutions and experts in India ( in TN as well ) and they can for sure help the situation ; Agriculture and water are serious political issue and will never be solved ;

@curiousthor yes ; But There are breakthrough technologies and Research Institutions in TN / India ; If the problem is defined , they can come up with proper solution after due validation ; If not possible , move for equal or more value systems ; For eg , Cattle’s , Energy Plantation , Cash Crops etc ; Sugar and Paddy needs more water ; We simply beg to Karnataka without exploring other avenues ; Only God and Govt knows where we are ; Since votes are there , Govt will not rock the boat ;

@kumar.193 I never mentioned about Desalination; We do not need Drinking water for irrigation; What’s needed is 600 PPM maximum TDS ; First quantify the problem ; Solution will come ; But problem is , politicians will find problems in any solution for votes ; Have faith in our researchers / technical experts ;
