  7. The gator found the "object" unpalatable, and was going to drop it anyway. It is impossible for the police to have spotted the body in the gator's mouth just in time to retrieve it intact. The gator would have mangled the body or partially eaten it. Retrieving the body intact means the gator was at the point of dropping it or had already dropped it. The police have made up the story for dramatic effect, of shooting the gator to make it drop the body.😂
