Where do you think the stock came from? Farms like these need to be restocked. And they fuel the illegal trade just as much as people buying directly from poachers. Worse, by making it seem like these species are easily obtainable, they create more demand and thus fuel even more poaching. More so, since THEY with their contacts, money, and smuggling methods can easily access the local markets, while a private buyer will usually not.

@HighFlyer They'd need to avoid inbreeding, and the only way to do that is bring in more stock regularly. Plus they're doing it for the money, remember? They're not gonna sell only a few each time. There'd be less demand if there are less black market dealers like these guys making it seem like they're easily obtainable. As I've said, private buyers usually DON'T have the money or the time to buy them from the wild. These guys are selling them in a petshop.
