I'm in the minority that enjoyed the "prequel" trilogy as well. of course I don't compare them to the original on basis of special effects usage, CGI versus practical. call it blasphemy, but I like CGI yoda. It would have been very difficult to achieve many of the yoda scenes in a practical way (without CGI), especially the fight scenes.

You're forgetting one VERY important thing, Mate. I'm CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.

If you really think about it, very few movie villains actually succeed in their plans, which is why the hero usually wins. Most plans consist the basic idea - taking over the world and enslaving everyone. How many rulers how actually succeeded in "world domination" in history? A few have come close, but not for very long and have usually died in the attempt.

Hard to believe Willy Wonka was a Flop, considering most people who talk about it now define it as a classic masterpiece and one of Gene Wilder's best movies. The Johnny Depp remake however is hardly worth mentioning.

Robert Downy Jr.? He was Popular on sitcom "Ally McBeal", fell hard when he started having Drug problems, now he's back in the MCU franchise as Tony Stark. Iron Man turned it around for him and quickly made him a Household name after years of obscurity.

x men 2 first lines narration by patrick stewart professor x Mutants. Since the discovery of their existence they have been regarded with fear, suspicion, often hatred. Across the planet, debate rages. Are mutants the next link in the evolutionary chain or simply a new species of humanity fighting for their share of the world? Either way it is a historical fact: Sharing the world has never been humanity's defining attribute.

surprised he isn't in the top 5. he fell hard after "Ally Mcbeal", than came back after "Iron Man".

For people who are chiding the gun shot suicide scene "Is he dead"? people have survived gun shot wounds to the head. its just rare.

I don't understand why people run UP stairs in a building or house away from a villain. They are cutting off any potential means of escape as the only way out the building is out a window. Either the villain will trap you somewhere, or you die jumping out a window. It's suicide. But Of course the "movie logic" always finds a way for the hero to escape from building.

These are TAME compared to Family guy or American Dad. Nothing is sacred on those shows. They butcher and roast everyone and everything.

there are other lists of iconic movie characters, this isn't an "exclusive" list.

I could be alone here, but I like "Journey's" video for "separate ways".

Dark Knight should've been closer to number 1, even the critics found little wrong with it. All star cast and easily the best movie of that year, if not, the decade. When a movie becomes the standard by which others are measured and created, it stands alone and doesn't need a top ten.

Here's a hint, don't watch movie thinking you're going to get history lesson. That's why "based on a true story" was changed to "based on actual events", or "based on the life of...". I think most people understand that movies "based on historical events" are going to take liberties with those events.

I think "The Day after Tomorrow" should have made the list. The planet isn't destroyed, but human civilization ends in it's modern form.

@davidcovarubias4753 You don't call Hospital Corpsman a Medic, We are Corpsman, not medics.

Dogma, love it or hate it? It's one of my favorite movies, and I'm not a religious person.

I guess people with gluten and diary allergies are SOL in the future dystopia.

The scariest thing is, we elected one of these people in the WHITE HOUSE and half the country worships him.

If you watched Rebels, you'd know the darksaber doesn't belong to him.

I think the reason Iron Giant did badly is because it was seen as a Anti war Anti gun movie by conservatives.

Two fixes for the Matrix, The Wachowski SISTERS, and according to Morpheus in the "Reloaded", they've been fighting the machines for about 100 years, not centuries. Even in the "The Matrix", Morpheus makes the comment to Neo, that "It's closer to 2199" but they don't know for sure. Even the Architect doesn't give an exact time frame when he meets Neo, just states he prefers counting from the "emergence of one integral anomaly to the next". Which likely means he is counting by the number of "chosen ones" which have been born within the matrix and attempted to free the the Matrix born humans.

Franchises don't die, Hollywood just reboots too many times when it runs out of ideas. They wait a few years, rehash old story lines, and except us not to notice.
