It's called confirmation bias. Many of his followers have always believed the things he's says out loud. He's simply confirming their beliefs. Their racism, bigotry, xenophobia, homophobia, anti globalism beliefs, anti government beliefs. They blame Democrats and "liberals" for everything because he's allowing it. Hopefully they will all go back into their holes once he's gone an slowly fall silent again.
