If your first comment was about the Leave it to Beaver show, I lived that kind of life when I was a teenager. My parents owned a television and I watched those shows when I got home from high school every day.
Leave it to Beaver, The Partridge Family, Mayberry RFD . . . they were all just like my life in America and the world around me. When I was in high school, people were generally nice, crime was low, there were no mass shootings, there were no riots, there was no political strife, drugs only existed in far away places like New York and San Francisco . . . it was a peaceful time of backyard barbecues, music on the radio, attending school sports, going swimming on the weekends and church on Sunday, and we were all optimistic about the future.
